Ostmo has one more year if he wanted to play, but he has decided to hang up the cleats due in part to the ankle injuries he's been more or less nursing the past couple years. He is a great RB and an upstanding young man. He's had a hell of a career. And if he decides that he is done after this year I think he should enjoy his time. But the double edged sword of too many RBs could cause some to leave. I really hope Childs and Harris stay. We do need that depth.

Yeah, I knew he had another year of eligibility, and I knew he’d had a couple nasty injuries…but I’m sure the emergence of Gillman (and Young lurking) helped in that decision-making process too…

You can think that, but the young running backs had nothing to do with his decision.
