First Northwestern State, a griz opponent on our 2022 slate lost one of their team members, Ronnie Caldwell to an early morning shooting on Thursday, which caused a cancellation of their game against Nicholls today. Head coach Brad Laird had a lot of glowing things to say after their loss to the griz last year, and seems like a good coach/man. Tough situation for any college team in the midst of a season.

And Matt Lubick, Sonny’s son, was diagnosed with Leukemia earlier this fall. Matt played his college ball at Montana Western, before following his dad to CSU. Many might remember he was a front-runner for the MSU job in 2021 after Choate left before deciding to stay at Nebraska as OC.
