No TV game this weekend if you have Spectrum with ESPN+

Disney has pulled all ESPN coverage in a dispute with Spectrum. If I understand correctly, that includes to ESPN+ that is broadcasting Saturday’s game. You can still watch if you set up a free trial with a number of streaming services.

You can watch the ESPN plus stuff on the app. Anything you had on Spectrum however including ESPN and ESPN2 is blocked on the app.

I guess the bigger question is whether or not the Idaho game will be streamed on ESPN+. I can still watch ESPN+ on my computor.

In the past if it was on ESPN2 then ESPN+ didn't have a special feed (and needed special cable tv login to unlock ESPN2 link on the ESPN+ website/app). So, if you were a streamer, the best option was getting a free trial of Fubo.tv. However, last year when I went to set up Fubo for my grandpa, they already had the ESPN+ stream pulled up. So, here's hoping there's an ESPN+ option again this year (good sign as GoGriz has stated that every regular season game will be on ESPN+).

Yeah, here's the confirmation I was thinking of:

Montana Television Network stations statewide will once again broadcast the entirety of the Grizzlies' Big Sky slate, except for the previously announced ESPN2 game at Idaho. A nationwide stream of each game will also be available on ESPN+.

No

Yes, if you have a television package that includes ESPN2. You have to pick your service and login through the ESPN app if you choose a game that’s also on tv.

ESPN+ and ESPN 2 are not the same channel. He asked if the game will be in plus. It won’t be. If he doesn’t have ESPN 2, he can’t watch the game.

My bad. I reread the thread and see the issue. That sucks!

And now coincidentally Hulu is raising their Hulu/ESPN/Disney package from $70 to $82 just in time for kickoffs.

Good read. Very informative, analytical, and LONG. Tolstoy reincarnated as Clay Travis.
