I don't know who has the power to change the schedule, so that we have games under the lights, but something should be said to that person IMO. What a rediculous investment if they have no intention of using them for regular season home games.
1. The lights allow the team to practice on the field as the days get shorter.
2. All games start at 1:30 now, rather than 1:05 then 12:05 after we go back to standard time. To me, this is great!
3. No need to bring in portable lights for playoff games.
4. Games will look better on TV for those who can't make it.
5. Many games seem to be very overcast. There were at least three last year that were so dingy and gray that I couldn't make out uniform numbers and had a bit of a hard time following the action when play was near the south end zone (my seats are near the top of the NEZ).
I don't care if we never have a regular season night game. The lights were worth the investment.

I would too, but I live three miles from the stadium. It would have no effect on me. But it might make a big difference to those fans that live out of town and travel.hm.grwn.grizfan said:Tod said:I don't know why we continuously have to go through this, but:hm.grwn.grizfan said:Uncle Si said:So awesome to have lights to enhance the TV. As long as the out-of-town fans support the idea, I'm with you 100%!Htowngriz said:Tod said:I don't know why we continuously have to go through this, but:hm.grwn.grizfan said:Uncle Si said:So awesome to have lights to enhance the TV. What a joke and no games scheduled under the lights.

Valid points, but it doesn't change the fact that we should take full advantage of them. Where's the harm in having an early season game (or two) start at 4 or 4:30? Gives fans coming from farther away more time to get there, more time for tailgaiting, finish the game in pleasant evening warmth instead of blazing afternoon heat, etc.
I'm out-of-town, over 300 miles away. Night games would be fantastic for us. Easy trip up on Saturday, back Sunday instead of staying either two nights or really pressing it Saturday morning to get to the tailgates.Tod said:As long as the out-of-town fans support the idea, I'm with you 100%!Htowngriz said:Tod said:I don't know why we continuously have to go through this, but:hm.grwn.grizfan said:I don't know who has the power to change the schedule, so that we have games under the lights, but something should be said to that person IMO. Hey! Since I can no longer drink I like a couple 3 or 4 hits of the really dank sticky green stuff!
Night games + Bong hits = much happier Uncle Si     :dope:
