But the initial source is twitter.

Additionally the original discussion here was the use of official media handles and what they post on twitter. The Johnson Trial had reporters tweeting all day but the stories didn't come up until the evening. Twitter had the info first, the news/web sites had it later. Twitter wins.

No, UMGriz75 was complaining that Gwen's tweets didn't tell the whole story and left out pertinent facts.

Florio always stated "ex Griz player" is in trouble blah blah.....

X-Griz found guilty......of reduced charge.

Ex Griz football player charged with driving without a license, also in his vehicle was a male soccer player.

X- Griz football coach found with a gold watch similar to one swiped in Bozeman last year.

Ex Griz found with a rifle in his truck parked in the Bob Wards parking lot. Player claims it was not loaded. However a box of ammo was sitting on the front seat.

Florio is writing a novel and her lady friend was proofing it for her. She begins with: Ex Griz players got away with rape for many years until I dug out all the proof and caused the president of UM to fire the nasty head coach and the mean AD. I also allowed the Missoula women to be relaxed and in a safe environment. I made that nasty little QB out to be guilty but he slipped through with many lies by his dirty laywer and he was helped by the radical doped up men on Egriz. I hate men!

After reading Egriz for a few years she decided to write about (what else) Grizzly men football players and the nuts on Egriz.

I will die using the term "I got floriod."

I don't agree with this statement from a prior post.

Many of the stories would not have even been written, ie JJ stories, had she not been around to write them. Multiple stories would not have been on the front page.

It is not the fault of the person who gets charged with a minor offense or even something he didn't do, like a dui, that the story is on the front page. It is the fault and bias of the reporter for making it a bigger story than it is, for the paper putting a racy headline on it and putting it further to the front from where it should be, and for the police/prosecutors pursuing and charging something that is smaller than what it gets charged with.
With Florio gone, there will be less front page stories discussing that a non-starter in basketball has plead not-guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct.

I could see the editor getting encouraged to move on sooner than later too.

Very good point! I absolutely agree. The irony is that if you venture over to ChampionshipSubdivision.com... the bickering is far less worse than it is here. I also post on an Oregon Ducks message board & there is rarely any bickering over there.

People with differing opinions expressing them on the internet. My gawd! Yes there could be less name calling but some people seem to invite it at times. I'd much rather read people expressing their beliefs and trying to stand by them than sit around and sing Kumbaya. Like all things anonymous, you have to separate the wheat from the chaff. You can pretty much tell one sentence into most posts whether they will be worth reading.

Positive and negative are obviously opposites but less obviously passionate and indifferent are also on the opposite ends of the spectrum -- and of the two I will take passionate any day. Of course it also wouldn't hurt to see a larger dose of intelligent at the same time. Passionately stupid is not a pretty picture...

I would not call it a crush...just a general dislike
