83-74 over a previously 7-1 Miami team. Mandy had 27. Think she's any good?

18 from the free throw line...and she's a freaking guard!

I bet the ACC won't be eager to schedule any more home and homes with the griz...

How good are both the men's and women's programs going to be in a couple of years? Man, I am JACKED about Griz basketball!!

Well, when the Griz get that 7 footer Vanderjagt to go along with Van Vliet, plus Rundles, Graves, and Chase, I see a team to contend with Gonzaga.

Lady Griz, well, they're going to be young next year. Only 1 senior (Sara Gale). Will miss Katie Edwards big time, plus Mcleod's rebounding. But, better talent is going to replace these two players. Plus, 3 more years with Mandy.

I agree, True. People may laugh, but I can see the Griz being a Top 20 team in one or two years.

The longer he stays the better deal he will eventually get. Look at Mark Few at Ginzaga, he was offerred some deals, but stayed at Gonzaga and now is in the catbird seat.

Would be huge to keep Krysko in Missoula for awhile... I think the big $$$ and the NBA will call soon...

O'Day told an organization I was in at Homecoming that Coach K was offered an NBA assistant's position during the off-season at 3X the money UM was offering, and after much soul-searching, he decided to stay. Apparently he told O'Day that he realized he had told his players all last year that they had to commit and fully buy into the Montana program, and he realized if he left, he wouldn't be doing what he asked them to do. I have always loved Larry, but I couldn't have been more proud that day than if he'd been my brother. I still doubt he'll stay long, because Montana simply doesn't have the $ that a major program (or even a private school with only BB like the Zags) have. But still, that meant a lot to me.

It would be nice to see Krysko stay here a long time like Robin Selvig. But, U of M is not owned by a Steinbrenner with a very deep pocket. There will be a day of reckoning. Just hope it is after the program is rebuilt and established as a top 20 team. 3 years is just to short of a time. Like to see at least 5 years.

One reason for Lady Griz's consistency is the same coaches from Head Coach down to the assistants. Sure hope all the Griz assistants stick around along with Krysko for at least 5 years or more. Wayne Tinkle is more likely to stay the course, but not sure about the other assistants. They may jump for better opportunities when they come.

Inevitably, Coach K West, as I heard him called on eGriz, will leave Missoula; for now, I'm just going to enjoy and appreciate the rise of the program. Okay, I'm dating myself, but when I was at UM (the Mike Montgomery era,) Dahlberg was sold out and hopping for every home game. At that time in the west, only UCLA had a higher home attendance average than the Griz. (And myself and about another 3,000 maniacs would be at Dornblaser Field for the football games.) I'd love to see crowds of 6 or 7 thousand for BB games. Sold out games in football and basketball benefit both programs, especially when it comes to recruiting.
