NHL Salary Cap

Today the NHL and the NHLPA agreeded to a salary cap based on each clubs revenue. Although this does not end the lockout, I think its a major step in the right direction for a 05-06 season. The remaining items to agree on are contracts, free agency, and salary arbitration.

Great news, but I'll be happier when they actually get to drop a puck and get the season started. With ESPN opting out of the regular TV contract, it's going to make finding a televised game harder to find in the U.S. Might have to actually break down and get CBC or NHL Center Ice just to follow my teams.... :o

Keeping my fingers crossed that I can use my tickets this year...

If there is a season, ESPN will probably still show some games, but not for the orginal price they rejected.
