Little discussion as of yet!

I'm excited for the Pack to have a chance to get back to the superbowl, it's been 10 years since! The Giants are red hot, and the fact that its going to be something like -2 at kickoff won't faze fellow northerners like them. I think this game will be much closer than a few people are saying it will be. Even though NY will be down quite a few starters they fight real hard, and the way they played against the Patriots and Bucs they could beat almost anyone. Packers will get their ground game rolling again, whoever wins in the trenches wins this game - I don't see the Pack's speedy WRs being the difference in this cold. Pack wins it 28-27.

I also think the Patriots have been playing a little tight and seem to be feeling a bit of the pressure to keep winning - it's been on them all season long. San Diego played them pretty well in the regular season, and will be looking for revenge after last years loss in the playoffs. If the bolts pull off the huge upset I'd expect to see them doing Merriman's lights out dance at mid field... but I don't think it's gonna happen. 35-23 Pats.

Anyone that thinks anybody will come within 10 points of the Patriots is a complete idiot. Packers or Giants are no more than sacrificial lambs. Fact!

I bet the point spread won't be over 10.

I think Hammer's been drinking the Kool-Aid.

The Patriots haven't had as big a point differential as advertised pretty much all year. They've had a whopping TWO legitimate blowouts, both of teams that are not playing this weekend. In fact, there's one team left that came out a mere FIELD GOAL loser to NE in Week 17, when the Patriots defied "conventional wisdom" and gave their starters significant playing time, thereby killing THAT argument. Even allowing for the two blowouts, the average point differential is a mere 17. Taking those games out, the differential isn't even a full two TDs. Since Week 12, it's barely the 10 you quote, and that involved games with nobodies Philadelphia (3), Baltimore (3), NYJ (10), NYG (3), and Jacksonville (11 in the Divisional Playoff).

It's a long time since NE beat San Diego 38-14 in Week 2. That's going to be a tough game. But the Super Bowl will be even tougher. Green Bay is arguably better than the G-Men, and NE only beat NYG by 3.

I submit that anyone who asserts that a 10-point margin is a done deal is sadly mistaken. Sure, it may happen. But a done deal? No way.

I think it will be more than 10 points. Especially if Rivers doesn't play.

But don't tell my wife. She actually thinks (hopes) SD has a chance.

In reference to the spread:

My buddy sent me this: I ahve no idea if it is the actual line or what his "friend" quoted him.

FWIW: Informational/discussion only:

1/20 3:00 ET At New England -14.5 San Diego O/U: 47
1/20 6:30 ET At Green Bay -7.5 NY Giants O/U: 41

What??? Nobody willing?? Step to the plate big talkers!

I don't gamble money... anymore. However, I'll take your offer for 50 eGriz bucks if you're willing.

Where's that 10-point spread, Hammer? I only see 9.

Asking for bets when most people are in bed is a cheeser's way out, Hammer.
