:o :o Montana State has the entire bunch back next season and Montana graduates 1 Senior. Tournament MVP. Where will the coaches and media position these two teams next fall in the preseason polls? :o :o

This spring recruiting will tell the tale. If Montana lands great Power forward this spring that could put them over the top. With Straight coming back there should be a lot of Optimism as to filling the power forward spot, the Griz also have a very nice group of freshman coming on board.

The Cats have every one back, but still have a weakness in the 4-5 position. They have a 6-11 center transfer , Ted Morris, who started some of his freshman and sophmore year at Indiana State, who will be elligable, but they too are looking for a JC power forward (one with true size) this spring.

I really think the difference could be who gets it done this spring. The other thing to remember the pre season polls don't mean a whole lot! Look at this years.

BTW Montana, Montana State , Idaho State, Eastern Washington, and Sac State also return the Majority of their players next year. Plus Weber ALWAYS manages to pull rabits out of their hats when recruiting time comes along. The Big Sky will be much better next year and niether Krysco or Durham better hang their hats on returning players only. They need to make moves to keep their advantage!

I don't know why I feel this way, but I could see the Griz getting ranked third next year to start. I have absoutely no reasonig for this other than a gut feeling, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Cats and someone else were picked ahead of us. Maybe Weber or Eastern?

:o :o Preseason polls could mean a whole lot to Montana. Higher in the poll would convert to selling more tickets and improve the home court advantage. The TV game with Weber was a big step toward erasing the TV image projected in Bozeman. NCAA on Thur-Fri will have a positive impact on next season. :o :o

MslaCat you definetly know your Big Sky ball!! I have to agree with you I think the griz need to find some more size. Their only returning "true bigman" is Seyfert. Our big guys need to get in the weight room, of else our rebounding is going to be poor next year. We have the height, but not the muscle. I'd like to see us pick up a physical big man that can take up some space in the middle and get some rebounds. We look really solid at the guard positions for a couple years. I like the cats team, they are going to be tough next year, I bet Dissly will be a stud. I played against him in a couple tournaments and wow! is he an athlete. I'd like to see the cats and griz competing at a high level next year and battling for the championship.

The Griz has a man by the name of Jordan hasquet coming off his redshirt year. Do you believe that Hasquet wont be a 4? He is 6'8'' and can hit the 15 footer but the difference maker next year is the man by the of Kyle Sharp! averageing over 30 and 12 down in california...all I have to say is that motana will not lose a game in the BSC next year.

PG- Matt Martin-already proved he can get it done in his freshman year

SG- Kevin Criswell - all conference as a freshman (need i say more)

SF- Matt Dhlouy- Kid is just sick up in the air GOT SICK HOPS

PF -Hasquet or Strait i dont quite know yet

C- John Seyfert (i have no positive notes for seyfert besides he gets his five fouls a agame)

This starting five will get the job done.

The bench isnt to bad with names like Easley and Lynch

quote me if you like...Griz in five years are gonna be what the Zags where 2 years ago!
