I believe that is George pissing away more money. It has been quite fun to watch the Yankees try to completely buy the World Series and come up empty over the last few years. The Yankees used to have great "roll" players that made up incredible teams (I am a Red Sox fan and note that). Guys like Paul O'Neil, Bernie Williams, Chuck Knublach sp(when he could throw straight), etc. True winners!!!

George keep buying....

You may be speaking too soon. George has pretty much ceded control of the Yankee operation and Cashman is now firmly in control. They may have had the best off season of any club in baseball and their minor league system is about ready to start producing a steady stream of quality players.

That should scare the crap out of every other ball club, too, since George and his "way" have been the main hinderance to the team's winning. If they get smart about using their financial advantage, watch out.

The pictures and stories out of spring training about Steinbrenner are sad, even for a Mariners fan.

Funny though, Pavano starts, Yankees still get the win. Schilling starts for BOston, they get their ass kicked by also ran Kansas City. :laugh:
