Did anyone else hear on the Final Four pre-game show that the head coach of North Carolina State, Herb Sendek, was offered the head coaching job at Arizona State University?

Would be good for Herb. Its tough coaching in the shadows of UNC and Duke. Plus he can't do what Jimmy V did in Raliegh. Win a title.

It's official, Herb Sendeck now has accetpted the Basketball head coaching job at ASU!!!

Payton, it was announced between the Florida-Mason and UCLA-LSU games. Got to be true.

It is good but over on kittynation they are reporting that Coach K has a phone interview with Pepperdine early next week and are offering mulit-year contract and similar pay to his pay here.

That wont be good enough

Same pay- Not a better situation

I'd be willing to bet that the annual salary at Pepperdine would far exceed what it is at the U of M. Of course, the cost of living is probably higher also.

I think LK talking to them is as much about getting exposure as seriously considering going there. It isn't like Pepperdine is a big move up except for the money. LK will do much better if he waits a year or two in my opinion.

Blaine has been at ODU for what three or four years? Recruiting wise I think he would be able to handle the job in Raleigh. He would never get the recruits that Duke or UNC get, but then again who does?
