“It's funny, I ran into somebody from Nevada on a family vacation in Sun River, Ore.,” Strait recalled. “I had a Montana basketball shirt on and she said, ‘You play basketball for Montana?' And I said, ‘Yeah.' She said, ‘I'm from Nevada and I'm a huge Nevada fan.' I kinda smiled and asked if she watched the game. She said, ‘Yeah, did you play? What number were you?' I said, ‘Yeah, I was number 34.' She said, ‘We all hate you in Nevada. You're the reason why we lost.'

I expect (as the Missoulian did) that he'll probably look to extend his basketball career. However seeing that he's got 1 year of school left, maybe a student assistant coaching job???

Strait was an ANIMAL in that game. I would bet that 80% of the Griz hoops came on layups or shots in the paint. He put some moves on Fazekus that were just incredible.

Man, that was fun!! Here's to a few more of those in the next couple of years!! :drinking:
