NDSU/Weber

Hey there Griz Fans,
We had a tough one with Weber State.
The one thing you must remember playing a Championship Team. Must play 4 full qtrs., and no silly penalties. It will kill you.
Weber state has 8 FBS transfers and they looked good on offense.

QB Wentz forced one pick, otherwise those DB's from Weber St. are fast and cover well.
They will be an improving team this year.

Also remember being on top everyone is gunning for ya. No down time, or coasting.

Did you hear ESPN Game Day is coming to Fargo next week! 2 years in a row! Too bad it wasn't when the Griz were coming! That would have topped off the excitement.

Congrats on your win today.

Bis Bison fan.

You as well. Looking forward to the game and, yes, too bad and ESPN will not wait a week. Here is to back to back wins against Dakota teams!

I would look for good things the next few years for Weber. They have a good young QB and I was very impressed how they played D, especially run D. I thought we would have rushed for 300 going off how their D was last year. I'm not sure where those 8FBS transfers are playing at, but most important one is behind center. Watch out BSC, cuz they won't be an automatic win this year. Hill was a good hire with his recruiting and FBS contacts and it sounds like he wants to play a power form of football. Well see u boys in Fargo in a couple weeks.....come on over to Fargo if ya can......great tailgating atmosphere and we love seeing some of the opposing teams fans. I will be trying my damnedest to get tickets for next years game at your guys place.....really want to see WashGriz up close!

Get you ass over, Herd. Rounds are on me.

Now were talking :thumb: . Like I said gonna do my best to get some tickets, but I imagine they are going to be hard to come by with both our fan bases clamoring for them. It would definitely be fun....partyed a few nights in Missoula a few years back on our way out elk hunting in Idaho...fun town!

I for one am really disappointed that ESPN is not doing the Montana game. That game will be an outstanding showcase of FCS fans and 2 great FCS teams. I hope that the program next week will focus on all of FCS football and the high quality football that the top schools play. It is good for FCS to get some love from ESPN.

I agree about wishing it had been a week later that Gameday was going to show up. It's great for NDSU but to anyone looking to knock FCS football all they will have to do is say "Incarnate Word" and who can blame them.

It appears that Webs gave a better effort that those sorry Cyclones! After the Bison beatdown Kstate struggles to beat the clones. Seeing Mcneese rough up the mighty huskers it may be that your Bison could take down the huskers. Now Incarnate Word...is that a convent school or what.........? Looking forward to our matchup in Fargo!

All I know is they are an FCS counter out of Southland conference and the school is in San Antonio. Oh yeah and Ricky Williams is their RB coach! Lol. As far as Huskers go, I think we'd have a shot, especially since their D has been piss poor the last couple years. I think Zenner went for something like 200 yds on them last year.

here is some more background about the Sisters of Charity:

The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) is a private Catholic university whose main campus is located in San Antonio and Alamo Heights, Texas.[3][4][5]
Founded in 1881 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word,

It's about 8 miles down the road from my house. Wish this game was here, I'd wander over in my Griz gear.

Will NDSU be paying a return visit to Ogden? How much did Weebs get paid?
 Don't know if you're serious, but Weber will be paying a return visit to Fargo next season. And no, since both are FCS, no large payouts involved.

Weber fans are very encouraged with what we've seen the first two weeks. Jay Hill may be the answer we've been looking for. I think we can get a win in Sacramento this week. Too bad no UM on the schedule this season. Always enjoy the Weebs/Griz games.

Agree.....and the new BSC and it's screwy schedule that allegedly crowns a champion messes up some great match ups from the past
