NDSU fans

I just want to give a shout out to the Bison fans for being welcoming and classy. We were welcomed into many tailgates, and so many "thanks for coming, glad you're here, love seeing other teams, safe travels," etc. We could all take a page out of their conduct.

Did not have one issue save the kid who was clearly autistic and he was just excited. Good experience.

Glad you were treated well. A handful of NDSU fans are pretty much dicks online but most of us are pretty decent in rl.

Ditto this! I was there with my son today. The fans are absolutely awesome. Very generous before the game. And very gracious after the game. :thumb:

Yep, my experience last year in Frisco is that they were 99% cool, fun, and gracious. But, as my buddy pointed out, that's because they knew they were going to win, and they did! If they lose, I don't think they're as friendly after the game.

Was working at NDSU earlier this week and talked to about 25 research staff and company leaders while there, about %00.01 percent of the fan base. I thanked them for knocking off the griz and asked for their playbook. No joy on getting the playbook. They gave me crap about how easy it was for them to destroy the Cats in Frisco, hurt my feelers. Great people, amazing research, nice indoor practice facility but just saw it from the outside.

I guess they don't practice in the dome because it's owned by the city.

The guy hosting me mentioned how football attendance is down, as mentioned on egriz quite a bit, and they're a bit concerned about that, not as confident in their dominance, worried a bit by the guys entering the portal. Couple that with reduced enrollment and wonder where NDSU will be in a few years. My guess is they'll be contenders for many years to come.
