From judging UM athletics this year, both for men and women, I'd say UM is among the weaker sisters of the Big Sky. Put that together with declining enrollment, loss of state funding, and poor to average academics, UM is not what it was, for sure.

Dude come on, you can't just completely s**t on UM like that. You know how many people on egriz went to UM? I'm sure they don't appreciate what your saying, including me. Yes UM is going through some tough times, but with a football program getting its foundation built, a basketball team that's a little bit skiddish, but will find its grove pretty quick here, and a new president of the school coming in, I guarantee you, UM is gonna get right back to where we used to be.

Well, let's start with basketball. Would you rather play in the Summit (with an RPI of 17), or the bsc (with an RPI of 29, fourth worst in America)?

An FCS conference does not need to stretch from SLO and Flagstaff to Grand Forks across 3 time zones.

Not to mention Cheney to Flagstaff

And it CERTAINLY doesn't need 19 teams, ridiculously unbalanced and unfair schedules, awful travel for basketball, horrible officiating.... I could go on for ages.

We should pick up 4 more teams to replace them, then we could schedule jubilees on Saturdays where you play one team for a half and then play another team for a half, have 6 or 8 teams and make a day of it.
