NCAA vs NIT

A trip to the NCAA's this year, win or lose, sets them up nicely for a trip next year. If they get the experience of the trip this year, then return next year with Oguine, Rorie, Akoh and Morehead as seniors, I like their shot at really making some noise next year. Back to back trips to the NCAA is likely to net you a better seed in year two, which sets up for a potentially pretty sweet run in 2019.

We are looking WAY down the road at this point, but I could see it setting up similar to the '05 and '06 NCAA trips.

That would also about guarantee that UM would need a new basketball coach too. Assuming he doesn't get picked off this year.

A sobering fact that we'll probably have to face sooner than later. I'm not letting it hamper my enjoyment of this years (and hopefully next year's team).

I think Decuire has a pretty big vision for Griz Basketball, I hope he sees it through.
