What do you all think? Penn State did a lot worse than Montana. They had better restore the GRIZ scholarships too. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/eye-on-college-football/23821373/ncaa-to-restore-penn-state-football-scholarships-beginning-in-2014-15" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is an interesting topic for sure. There are a lot of angles, and I'm not entirely sure what to make of it yet. Ostensibly, it seems like maybe it was because the wrongdoer was kind of on a frolic of his own, rather than trying to "create an advantage" for the program. While it may be that the higher ups at PSU knew about this shit and covered it up (thus evidencing a lack of institutional control, etc.), I'm not sure that conclusion was in the official NCAA finding, was it? I don't want to derail the parallel between this and the Griz because I'm sure some more knowledgeable people will have more to say, but, to me, the more interesting parallel is between this and USC's situation.

I'm interested to see what they do about the Alabama player DJ Fluker accepting benefits from an agent. Isn't that exactly what they destroyed USC for? If they do anything less than vacating every game, including the national championships, that he played in it would be BS. That is a helluva lot worse than the 'infractions' by the UM. But I wouldn't be surprised if the NCAA just gives the program a slap on the wrist.
