NAU Fans.....

Well, I'll give them credit for having the largest home attendance (although I couldn't find an attendance figure from the Jacksonville State home victory) of all the 1st round home games. ESPN lists attendance at the Walk Up Skydome at just over 5,000 tonight. Subject to getting a figure from the Jacksonsville State game, that's the only venue that broke the 5,000 mark. That's pretty sad. Butler brought up the rear with something like 1,925 fans in attendance.

8,992 for the Jacksonville State game. They usually get a lot more (14k+) on average it looks like according to the box scores on ESPN.

Got on our board and talked an ENORMOUS amount of crap about how they deserved the seed over us (like we have anything to do with that).

I was torn today....I really wanted the Big Sky teams to show up and represent. But at the same time, I had a hard time really rooting for NAU because of some of the ass-clowns who were on here complaining and whining about the seed and no respect. Some of them were downright awful. The same took place on the Big Sky Facebook page.

Well I would give them more respect if they showed me tonight they deserved it...instead they rolled over and just got dominated by SDSU. Tough to earn my respect with that.

This is exactly my feeling. I was fine with an NAU win or loss, for this reason. NAU embarrassed themselves and the conference today. Bauman should have been more concerned about doing well in the game, than tweeting about disrespect. Obviously, NAU didn't deserve a seed. Hopefully, UM proves that it did deserve the seed.

NAU all around did a horrible service for the BSC. Showed purely in the game and the crowd.... It just baffles me how a team can make the playoffs and then gets piss poor attendance! I mean come on they can pack the house for that? This not only for NAU but a good many of the teams that hosted yesterday.

Seeing those crowds yesterday just reinforced how lucky and great a fan base UM has. I wish I could be there in WA Griz to help show a good majority of the rest of the FCS what a packed house looks like.

Go Griz

Edit -- anyone else see the two young kids (10 or 12 years old, I'd guess) in Griz gear when they panned the crowd with the camera?
I saw them.
