Yeah.
No difference between Robertson and Graves.
No difference between Ford and Walker.
No difference between Humphrey and Brown.
No difference between Knight and the other 5 guys who tried to replace him.
No difference between Onu and Gradney.
No difference between Cook and whoever replaced him when he was out.

About the ONLY area where the dropoff was minimal was in the LB corps.

And if you can only think of two CB's since 1980 that were "above average", I question your football intelligence and have to assume you're simply trolling.
Wouldn't it be a GOOD thing if there was little drop off from starters to backups on a 10-3 quarterfinal football team? :?

I'm currently PRAYING we have little drop off between our starters and backups going in Saturday as we're a bit banged up.

Yeah. That poster is a moron. I would say it’s a good thing when your backups have little drop off from the what 8-9 Griz we had make all American teams. Lol

I thought the MSU backups were better than the starters. It's the Bozeman way.

Classless.

At the very least, I’m hoping their equal to our starters on Saturday. :thumb:

CDA's right on at the QB position. I take his comment to mean we have great depth, particularly on D. If MSU's backups play better than starters that's a good thing! Gonna need all of them tomorrow.

Hicks Onu is also above average, I also have hope that Soe will be a great cornerback once the time comes for him to start.
He was far better than "above average."
In the context that Special H was referring to Johnson and Ford, I was arguing that Hicks Onu was on the same level as them. And I agree all three of them are far better than “above average”.

Ford got a lot of business his way because QBs did not find the Hicks-Onu receiver open very often. He was our shutdown CB, like Johnson. We've not had many over the years.

I don't think Special H was arguing anything, they just stated an opinion that like a few other posters, Hunts-Ducks for example wasn't based on anything. At least a lot of political losers state "alternative facts" or blame their loser defeats on "fake news". This doesn't even rise to that level. I'd call it horse shit but that at least can be used to grow stuff, this isn't even that.
