First of all, we totally pissed the game away down the stretch there no excuses. I do think however that was a bad call at the end of the game there on DJ. That said we still had 2 seconds, and I am rarely critical of Decuire but I gotta be honest, I hate that end of game play call he made there with Timmy throwing a baseball pass into the front court. I saw us run that one other time this year, I don’t remember who to, but I just don’t understand why Decuire doesn’t have the confidence to let Manuel or Timmy try a half court shot. Think about it, how many half court shots have we attempted in Decuires 6 years? Not many

That said, that was not the point of this post. With 3 games to go, we find ourselves in a 3-way tie for first place, but it will not stay that way for much longer. On Saturday, Eastern and UNC play each other, and I started thinking to myself, who do we want to win this game? We’ll hear me out and then tell me if my rationale makes sense.
I’m thinking we want UNC to win this game. Now I know what you’re thinking, why would we want them to win when we could have them coming off a loss into Missoula? Well, my thinking is that if we beat SAC on Saturday, and if UNC wins, then that puts eastern a game back of us. Therefore, if we beat UNC on Thursday, then we still have a one game lead over both teams, and if we’re to slip up and drop one to either SAC or SUU, then we will win the tiebreaker because we will have swept Eastern and UNC would’ve only split with them. Make sense? Anything I’m forgetting?
