Jois is one of only 3 players in the 53 year history of the Big Sky Conference to total over 1600 points and 900 rebounds. Needless to say, I'm going to have to kind of disagree with your assessment.

The MVP isn't a lifetime achievement award though.

Jois is very good no question. The 1600 points and 900 rebounds (very impressive) was over 4 years. Breunig is on his 2nd year in the Big Sky so of course he's not going to have those numbers for his total. He's at around 900 pts and 400 rebounds in less than 2 years which is pretty impressive too I'd say considering the Griz play a much tougher schedule in the non-conference. So I have to agree with EverettGriz on this.

Both are great players though and have been a hell of a lot of fun to watch in the Big Sky.

Wrong! I looked at the OOC schedules for last year and this year and they seem very comparable. Jois also beat the Hoosiers and of course went to the Big Dance. I think this will be a great race down the stretch. Hopefully the EAGS and griz play for the BSC championship and Jois vs. Breunig will be settled on the court.

Wrong! :P

Griz non-conference strength of schedule so far this year: 18th strongest in the country.
EWU's non-conference strength of schedule so far this year: 275th strongest (out of 351)

Last year EWU did have a good non-conf SOS though. They were 65th. However the Griz were 25th.

Here are the rankings.

I do agree it will be a great race down the stretch though and really wish the conference schedule was a little more balanced so we got to play Weber here, you guys had to play Weber @Weber and we had to play you guys @EWU. Seems messed up EWU, Weber and the Griz only play each other once each :(

If by "similar" you mean they were both playing basketball, then yes. Otherwise, your post is laughable.

Those rankings are based on RPI. I tend to favor BPI rankings. Either way, I sure hope the EAGS and griz meet again this year.

Tough loss tonight. Guess the griz didn't get all those home cooking calls.

I'd also add that Jois is currently second in Big Sky history for blocked shots...but you're right about it not being a lifetime achievement type deal. Also don't think you can really determine MVP based on one head to head matchup.

Good Lord, you're a douche.

And yep, very tough loss. And yet, remarkably, the GRIZ are still 2 full games plus a tie break, ahead of the ewooooooers in the standings. That has to suck.

It's funny how he's over here talking smack when EWU just got their first road win in the Big Sky this year... they're 1-4 on the road. Meanwhile the Griz just suffered their first loss on the road this year in conference (now 5-1 on the road).

BPI on ESPN's site doesn't rank the non-conferences strength of schedules though, so....how are you relying on BPI to determine that both teams had "very comparable" OOC schedules this year?

You could also check out the Pomeroy ratings and you'll see the Griz have the 12th rated non-conference strength of schedule there vs EWU's 158th. Again, quite the difference.

I would like to see the BPI non-conference strength of schedule ratings you're looking at though. Do you have a link?

Not really surprising. He doesn't possess the mental capacity capable of having an actual conversation about basketball.

Oh, and GoldenShower, it didn't escape me that you couldn't even get anyone to bite on the ewooo board about how the refs supposedly screwed the ewoooers in Missoula. Of course, anyone with half a noggin would say, "well, the fouls were even, and we shot 30% more FTs than Montana, so yeah, I'd say you're off your fucking rocker".
