Musburger and Palmer

The game, the broadcast, the atmosphere. They were all great. No complaints about BM, or JP. It is an honor that ESPN sent their varsity commentators to do this game. They could have easliy sent some B squad. I think the inclusion of the top crew added to the excitment of the game. At least for me anyway. I also got a chuckle from JP's comment at the end of the game where he asked Brent if he "Knew a place" for after the game...Obviously plugging into the energy of the crowd, and town. A nice little compliment for Missoula right there.

I'd suggest going back and listening to it again, and just don't hear it but listen to it. That was easily the best called game involving a Griz team ever. Very fair, and all about the FCS - rarely about the FBS. If they had the chance they'd be back - and that's a huge compliment for our team, our fans and our state.

Thank you for clearing up the difference between hearing and listening dude, very illuminating  "Best called game involving a Griz team ever"? Hmmmm.... you decided that how? I'm glad you liked the broadcast. I give it a "good." That said, all the things combined - first game for Coach Stitt, playing against the defending champs, record crowd, and a national broadcast with real sportscasters led to a great game atmosphere.

Talking with both broadcasters before the game about not having enough room in the booth and the fact they had to do the game out side on top of the roof....Both said it did not matter to them. Then I noticed during the game the were in a plywood shanty with a blue tarp on top flapping in the breeze I just have to say they had a lot of class.
I have not had a chance to vist with Musberger but I'll let U know his thoughts on the entire game etc.
