Murders in Idaho

77 and Intuitive need to go, Moderators need to moderate.
There are for sure places to go on a rant, for the sake of seeing what you typed.
Trolls will be trolls

There were 2 other roommates in the Idaho house. They were not witnesses. Police not called until noon the next day. By another person who came over.

I don't wear my heart on my sleeve. As a matter of fact, family members reminded me that I used to wipe my nose on my sleeve. Insensitivity is probably just an acquired trait from my chosen occupation. I've dealt with lots of shit over the years. It comes with the territory. We were known to eat our young, and dark humor was our trademark. A self defense mechanism, I'm told. I don't go around misty eyed, tearing my clothes, wailing, pulling out my hair, putting Teddy Bears on makeshift shrines, or doing any of the other shit people seem to want to do these days, showing the world they are truly devastated by events which they have no connection. I don't know any of those killed, or the killers. I just tell it like it is, as I see it anyway. In short, if you don't like it, GFY! :thumb:

It is totally your prerogative to be a horse's ass. In short, if you don't like being called one, GFY! :thumb:

Still doesn’t explain your lack of understanding as to why VA would cancel a game scheduled to be played less than a week after a FORMER player shot and killed three CURRENT players and shot and injured two more CURRENT players. While you, personally, have no connection to these events, the remaining members of the VA football team most certainly DO have a personal connection. Why is that so difficult to comprehend? Why would you mock someone else’s method of dealing with grief? Why would you presume to assume HOW someone should deal with grief? Or even judge whether they should be grieving at all?

My perogative, correct.

I could care less what they do. This was a political decision, so typical in this day and age. Why didn't these players bullrush this POS and beat him to death? There, personal connection solved. Comprehend that. :thumb: I'll leave off the rest.

Canceling games is B$. On this site there is the never ending pissing and moaning about having or not having NIGHT games. It has an impact on tailgating, bar hopping, hotels/motels, restaurants, and the people they employ. And this is just a shift in kickoff time. Canceling an entire game has a negative impact on all the above, PLUS no income for the schools, money already spent for tickets, hotels/motels, which will now hopefully be cheerfully refunded, but more than likely won't be or fans will have to jump through hoops to get what they can. Remember the Covid cancelation and its impacts? Oh, just donate your tickets back to the school. You can afford it. Then, there is the opportunity cost to concession owners and their employees, ticket takers, moonlighting police who won't be working that day. I assume the school has its own 50/50 type of money generating operation. No money there. Yes, like everything else in this world, it comes down to the almighty buck. Virginia created a lot of pain by doing what it did. There could have been a minute of silence at the stadium along with some other tribute like a Missing Man Flyover one of the service branches. Lots of air bases out thatta way. Would have been pretty dramatic and impactful.
And, YES, I do know the killings in Moscow happened within hours of the football players murders. Thats why I put in the sarcastic reference to Children of a Lesser God. They were just college students, not football players. Doesn't make their deaths any more or less important. UI probably won't cancel classes or close the campus for a day or two, and it sure as hell won't cancel its trip to Pokey to make what appears to be a political statement. :twocents:

Or maybe, just maybe the Virginia players were so devastated by their teammates being murdered in cold blood that they simply decided that playing a game was not the best way to cope right now. I've seen some dumb shit on this site over the years, but this might beat them all. Good grief man, have some decency.

You sure talk a big game… Last time I checked the data, bullets move faster than people and I am betting that all this happened in the blink of an eye… Maybe have a little bit of compassion for those who were close to these kids instead of being an asshat on a message board
