MSU has a new running back

Geez, glad to see egriz never grows up. Congrats bozely, looks like he could provide a solid 1,2 punch for you guys.

I'm happy for the kid, but it is unfortunate the circumstances that caused his arrival at MSU. I hope he has a successful & injury free career... & is stuffed at Griz/Cat.

Always glad to see a kid get a second chance. The Cats and the griz are both great a helping a kid grow up and not let one mistake mess up a kids life. Congratulations to both schools and coaches or taking a chance on kids that deserve a second chance, and knowing when enough is enough.

 So, 4 carries for 10 yards in 2 years at Nevada...sounds like a good one.

And if we were getting him, you would be ecstatic. Lets keep it real here, he looks like a good player.

You're an idiot. Why would I be ecstatic about the Griz getting a RB that played against weak NE prep school "talent" and washed out at Nevada-Reno?

Leave it to an idiot Bobcat fan to post video of their supposed new running back who was suspended and kicked off Nevada's team for violating team policies. Yay for you for landing a trouble maker and being excited about it.

Easy with the butthurt there, I posted this to start intelligent discussion :thumb:
True...You can't get intelligent discussion over at scat back nation...   :egriz:

Haha....same ol egriz

While true, you gotta admit that if the Griz signed this kid, there'd be 99 cat trolls on here bemoaning it as same-ol-same-ol, and countless smack threads regarding it on bcn which oddly never get moved to the smack board.

Just sayin.

The kid had an MIP and was late paying the fine. His coach said he was good kid in the article. Ash would not take a chance with a kid if he wasn't convinced that he is okay. It was a minor thing that happened. He was slated to be Nevada's # 1 running back.

Well, the story doesn't say what happened. Of course, the coach doesn't describe him as a good kid, either. He says he "doesn't think he's a bad kid". Those two sentences have far different meanings in my mind. That said, as I posted above, I think it's probably worth the risk.

The source on the MIP lives in Reno and went to the school and is a huge fan. Your right the coach said "he doesn't think he is a bad kid". There is a difference granted. Being the #1 running back on the depth chart I take means he has some game. They thought he was one of the best recruits that they had in years. Kirk is still number one. It appears Knight is the same type of power runner at 6'1" 225. He wil be good insurance if Kirk gets injured and a good chance of being more than that. I agree it was worth the risk!
Kirk is too slow to perform against the better defenses and has been very unimpressive against Montana. This kid looks better.

He looks to be a nice pick up for us. But, I wouldn't of posted this over here being a Cat fan. But that's me.

I'm okay with someone posting it here. Most of us don't read bcn and we appreciate getting news about the other teams in our conference. Bozely didn't seem to do it with malicious intent.

What did you expect?

;)

If by some weird circumstance Jordy had decided to take himself to Bozeman after the acquital there'd be no shortage of knee jerk morons who would be labeling him as a low life Benedict Arnold. Even the Hatfields and McCoys were more civil than some of the wooden heads who pop up out of the ground like stinkweed to sully a kid looking for a fresh start...

you would be ecstatic because that "weak" prep team had at least four players, including their qb at u.c.l.a., sign at division one schools and washing out implies he wasn't talented enough, which is hard to say at this point. would you cut a player because he had four carries for 10 yards and a td in his frosh season and got a m.i.p.?

The kid looks talented, both on paper and in the video. Schollies from Nevada and NC St. Big. Cuts back nicely. At or near the top of the Nevada depth chart as redshirt sophomore (even though Nevada has zero experience returning at rb). Looks like only a minor issue, including with his lack of follow through (don't understand the lack of follow through). I assume MSU has thoroughly analyzed the situation, talked to the Nevada coaches, and is confident the kid isn't a problem and will do well. Assume he knows the Nevada qb who transferred to MSU. He looks like he could be a force.

Lawrence is an athletic powerhouse. Recruits athletes and provides scholarships. Cost of tuition for a boarder is just under $50,000 per year. Alot of good hockey players come out of Lawrence.

Moved to Sports forum... leaning toward Smack.

Hmmm, I would plead the case but that wouldn't do much. Only was trying to amp up some conversation. we're excited about him!

Yeah not really sure why this got moved to the sports forum since it involves the FCS and is a lot more relevant than most of the crap in the other forum.

I have no problem with anyone getting a 2nd chance. Maybe getting out of the sh**hole Reno will do him some good.
