You are right. I did not check the Lady Griz roster before I wrote that. The Griz have 14 players on the roster, out of 15 scholarships allowed by the NCAA, and 4 seniors. That would give them 5 scholarships to fill for next year, and Robin always seems to fill all 15. So with 3 signed that leaves 2 for this fall.

love the blog. mslacat, you're no pete. you've earned the right to hype it all you want.

as to the lady griz. selvig must love versatile players in the 5'11" to 6'1" range because he recruits so many of them. the three new recruits fit that mold, as do stender, beck, ena, linford, hurley, atkinson and ware. this always works fine in conference until we get into the post-season and run into teams with players in the 6'3" to 6'6" range, and burners in the backcourt. i hope robin uses his remaining scholarships on another quick point guard, and one more tall post player, before we run into any more vanderbilt nightmares.
I agree 100 percent on the recruiting. Selvig gets some outstanding mid major players and develops them.
The next level is something that we had a chance at this year and it didn't work out. I'm crossing my fingers that Jos will be back in Missoula and bringing a couple of her traveling teammates with her in a year or two.

nope, jos be gone. we won't see her again, except possibly on a basketball court in the first round of the ncaa tournament. once you're a stanfoo, you're a stanfoo, period. dazzling array of money, political influence, intellectual might, school pride and athletic tradition, all set in one of the most idyllic spots on earth. i applaud jos's decision as much as i regret it, and, no, you don't go home again.

Like your Blog Mslacat - I have enjoyed your input on e-griz for a long while!!! I will admit the overall best dunker was probably Kral Ferch but you kind of described Trammel's dunk a little wrong. I remember it vividly - He grabbed the rebound off the right side of the basket with his right hand only and came completely across his body and slammed it!!! It was never a two handed dunk. Just a one handed rebound and SLAM!!!!

I am wondering if I could ask one or two of you find folk a favor, I have recieved some emails and the like that my comment section in my Blog is not working properly. I think I have it working now, but I would not mind it if some of you would mind trying to leave a test comment to make sure. I have it set - hopefully - that will allow a person to leave a post anonymously, sign on as a "follower", or using your Google handle (if you have one). The comments will not immediately appear on the blog. If a few of you would not mind testing it for me I would appreciate it , even something as simple as "test" would be great.

Corntassle will be a good player as long as his head stays in it. He may be about done growing.
