And as of today, Everyday-Eddie is 0-5, wow.

Just when I was starting to think they have something going Hargove makes a bonehead move (many in todays game) and puts in one of your worst pitchers in the bullpen, Guardado. Guess what, walk-off homerun.

The pathetic thing about that is, the decision to use Eddie there was far from the worst managerial decision that Hargrove made that day. Dave at USSM says it better than I could:

That was the worst managed game that I've ever seen. It's the type of game that completely demoralizes a fan and maybe even a team.

I heard Hargove wants Eddie back in the closer spot, but I think J.J. Putz is doing a good job. Did you see last night's game. M's blow a big lead, but win in xtra innings!

When Cuddyer hit that thing, I thought "here we go again". Nice to see them pull it out.

The M's really do have some pop in this lineup. Ichiro can get ahold of one every now and again - also he got his 2,500th hit as a professional last night. Beltre is coming on. We all know how good Lopez is playing. Sexson is showing signs of life. Raul the Pool Boy yoked the hell out of one last night. Everett got the big one at the end. Even Yuni went yard!

It was an exciting game to watch.

sexon need to step up. he has show some signs of life, as has beltre, the two HUGE signings from two seasons ago. and Ichiro will always be Ichiro, and im liking what i see from Jose Lopez. And the if they can get just one more RELIABLE (see Jarrod Washburn) starting pitcher, and one more dependable bat, i see the M's getting stronger buy the end of next year. Though not all is lost this year, playing in the Class AAA AL West.

As they've done all year, they get my hopes up and then crush them like a peanut under Roseanne Barr's foot. This is a huge roadtrip for this team. Play well on it and anything could happen. Have a roadtrip like the last one, and my remaining M's tickets are for sale.

Yep - this road trip is the season. Beating up on bad teams at home isn't impressive - they should do that. Go to Oakland and Anaheim, kick some ass there and then we will see.

A while back, somebody on SportSpot did some analysis on Hargrove's team in Baltimore. The pattern was eerily the same - losing seasons with just enough mini-winning streaks to keep you thinking that maybe the team was turning it around. I really don't like that dude but at least he's not playing Everett against left-handers anymore. It looks like he's settled into an everett/Morse platoon at DH.

Morse is an enigma to me. I just can't figure the guy out. I don't think that he's very good but he has flashes of greatness that make me wonder.

The Mariners cannot seem to win, especially, in Oakland the past several years. I went to a game in the Coliseum, last month, while on my honeymoon. The M's outhit the A's, but could not buy a run. The Mariner's need to keep winning series' at home and on the road. 2 out of 3, is that too much to ask for? I agree about Morse, sometimes he seems like a keeper, sometimes I think the M's should dump him.

This team is killing me. Just when I'm ready to give up on them, they rattle off some nice wins and grab my attention. It's like Michael Corleone in Godfather III - "Every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in."

Oakland will be a nice little test. The M's almost always play bad there.

Chance for a sweep of the Angels today. With Jeff "92 mph fastball strait as a string" Weaver on the mound, the M's should get it.

The Ms always seem to stumble when there is a chance of a sweep, so I'm expecting an Angels win. If they can go to Oak-town and take 2 of 3 then things could get very interesting.

It seems like the whole AL west is starting to heat up, with the As and Rangers winning on the east coast, and before this series I believe the Angels had won their last 5 series. And now the Ms are 8-2 over their last 10 games!

I think the few big things that have helped have been the new batting lineup, allowing Adrian to get on base more, and giving Lopez even more chances for RBIs. Also the starting rotation has seemed to get a little more accurate, and is givng up less long balls as well.

That, and Guardado pitching about one inning per week. :thumb:

If Felix can rattle off eight or ten more great starts in a row and Snelling really does get the call in mid-July, this team has potential to be pretty decent headed into the stretch.

King Felix was great yesterday and the bats are poppin'. But now here comes the M's own little house of horrors, the Oakland whatevertheyrecallingtheplacenow Collesium. I've been an M's fan for 16 years, and they've never won there. Maybe all that foul territory freaks em out. Or maybe it's that there are precisely 9,108 fans in the stands and you can hear each and every one of them, and all 9108 of them are cursing up a storm. Whatever it is, I hope my ex-girlfriend (witch that she is) does something to break the spell.

Man, I'm starting to believe in this team! God help me.
