Yes, not only did Oak Harbor's entire football team attend the vigil in Marysville tonight, they offered to forfeit the game they were scheduled to play with M-P.

Thank you coach Turner and the Oak Harbor team for living the values that high school athletics can teach. First class all the way, gentlemen. First class.

I am not sure I understand this. So a shooting happens and a team forfeits a football game because of it? The gunman wins I guess, was he a fan of the other team? Why would anyone let a deranged killer run thier lifes?

We are truly blessed and fortunate to be living the Northwest. I've been all over the United States. The people in WA, ID, and MT are truly the best. I'd rank Nebraska and Iowa area a close 2nd.

This is such a great story.

Why? Can you not see how the guy with the gun wins twice? I was not derogatory I did not call any names and I never attacked anyone like you and Evertt do so why can I not have an opinion on this?

I KNOW thy didnt forfeit that is what I do not understand. Why would an opposing school do this? It teaches the kids that criminals win.

I actually agree with Big G here. Let the kids go play the game, I think sitting around after a situation like that is probably worse for the kids. Marysville has a dynamite football team and personally I think the community could use a football game now more than ever, they would beat Oak Harbor with their JV squad.
