Connecting dots for the sake of convenience - blaming the weather on industries not in political favor so a political party can promote an agenda of taxing industries they don't like.
It hasn't rained here in the last 6 months because GOP voting, SUV driving Americans are affecting global climate, now we get some heavy rainfall in the area finally and suddenly the poles are melting and all inland areas are supposedly flooded with salt water. Gotta hand it to Al Gore when he and the Clintons commissioned that private public opinion survey to find him a shtick to run for President on that would make him stand out from the wallpaper and found there was some traction to be gained in the environmental arena. Presto! you have Al Gore - Greenpeace warrior! What a great shtick - politicizing the weather.
