Apparently, the California Sports Commission (or whatever they call it) have suspended a UFC fighter for violating the steroids policy. Don't these athletes get it? You get caught, you're done. What part of that don't they understand? And if that's not enough, aren't the man-boobs, the sissified voice, and the cancer enough of a deterrent? Sheesh!

The athletes don't get it because if they do it they are not done.

Baseball three strikes and your out, football you get suspended 8 or 9 time before they can your ass. If it was one and done then maybe it would do some good.

Until a lawyer sues for violating your civil rights to do steroids.

I heard it was the two fighters, Sean Sherk, and Hermes Franca, that fought each other in the last UFC PPV.

Yep it was both fighters not just one. Not to mention Hornet that most people do not get those problems that you mentioned. Those side effects are pretty rare as a matter of fact. Not to say there is no danger because there is but many many people have no side effects.

Its a calculated risk, short term fame and wealthh vs. being caught or getting sick. Its a gamble like any thing else. Not to mention that it appears the UFC is going to do nothing to them. So there is no punishment either. They just can't fight in Cali for one year. BIG DEAL :jack:

My belief is that neither Sherk nor Franca have the experts to guide them that many other pro athletes have. The fighters in the UFC are only now beginning to make good money, especially Sherk who actually had to leave the sport for a while because it wouldn't pay his bills.
