i'm thinking, what's the local angle? does this start yet another domino chain of speculation on tinks's future? we now have two pac-12 jobs open. if he's not a candidate for either, those two could open up other potential suitors.

this is critical for us, because the next recruiting year is going to be key at montana for a long time. remember, the signing deadline is april 16, and we have two scholarships left. looming larger is next november, the early signing period for the class of tres, samuelson and kendal manuel, all in-state d-1 prospects, probably the best crop of recruits out of the state in years.

and while we're at it, did we miss out on carson dummer? 6'8", good size, good rebounder, super-state selection, great tournament, going to carroll.

Rumor has it that Wazzu will announce a new head coach very soon, even today, but nobody has a clue who it might be.

Ernie Kent is the new coach at Washington St.

Monty believes that Travis DeCuire should be the next head coach of Cal

Crap, I read that wrong. I thought Monte was retiring.

I hear Snap is going to do some spring bear hunting...anything is possible.

If I were Monte, I'd be very concerned that it took your ol' buddy snap 3 tries to pass the bear ID course on the fwp website.

No doubt due in large part to cultural exam bias.

Spot on Everett. The test assumes everyone taking it has some basic knowledge of Montana wildlife and the ability to differentiate between species. Who do they think I am...Vince Yannon for god's sake?
