Bummer. I suppose it was bound to happen, but gogriz.com is pretty weak. Congrats to the Bookstore and Gordon Terpe for running a nice site.

From the montanagrizzlies.com website:

"For 13 years, MontanaGrizzlies.com has covered University of Montana sports, bringing you coverage of winning streaks, Griz-Cat games, NCAA championship runs, and other unforgettable moments. This September 14, we will reach the end of our run.

The University of Montana and MontanaGrizzlies.com's parent company, The Bookstore at The University of Montana, recently reached an agreement that will send all MontanaGrizzlies.com visitors to GoGriz.com, the official site of UM Intercollegiate Athletics where you will find team schedules, rosters, news and statistics produced by some of the same people whose work first featured on MontanaGrizzlies.com. MontanaGrizzlies.com users will be automatically directed to GoGriz.com beginning September 15, 2012.

The Griz Shop at The Bookstore will continue to outfit Griz Nation with the largest selection of high-quality Griz gear at just a punt's distance from Washington-Grizzly Stadium at our flagship location in the University Center, and at the Griz Shops in the stadium on game days. If you cannot visit us in person, you can shop our collection 24/7 at GrizShop.com.

All of us at MontanaGrizzlies.com have enjoyed being a part of Griz Nation. The Bookstore looks forward to serving you in the future at our Griz Shop and as a continued partner and great supporter of The University of Montana and Montana Grizzly Athletics. Thank you for being there with us.

Go Griz,
Gordon Terpe
Editor
MontanaGrizzlies.com"

My apologies if this was already posted.

This site went downhill fast. Even last year it would have updated articles, photos and highlight videos. Now under the football section the 2nd top story is saying the team plans on having Johnson as the starting QB. No updated rosters, articles or stats, time for it to unfortunatly go.

GoGriz.com needs a lot of help and a lot of work.. they launched it kind of half-assed and it hasn't improved a lot.

this is the same site that has been putting up all the great videos this season ????

That would be one helluva punt!

I will miss the site, but it does get less hits than either egriz or gogriz and there is alot of repetition. Probably a good move.

If there is anything you would like to see on eGriz.com as an improved resource of information, please let me know. I try and have this as a great resource for Griz fans and am always looking for feedback.

If you have not checked out the main content pages, please check them out using the menus above!

GoGriz has not been in the same league as montanagrizzlies.com, particualarly when it comes to fact-finding and archives. It's also more awkward to maneuver. It makes sense to have just one; just please get the best of both. I don't like losing capability.

^^ This.

I'll miss all of the archived stats, videos, and stuff like that which was found on montanagrizzlies.com I doubt any of that will carry over to the new "gogriz.com" site. The gogriz.com site is just like every other POS cbs college sports website.

MontanaGrizzlies.com was unique, easy to navigate, and even worked well on iphones. Try the game tracker on an iphone on gogriz.com and you either need flash (which isn't supported on iphone) or to use their mobile site which last week just showed South Dakota's stats in the place of Montana's stats, and "No Data" in the place of South Dakota's stats.

With montanagrizzlies.com going away we are losing a lot of great archived information, articles, stats, and videos.. I really doubt any of that will make it over to gogriz.com.

I agree completely.

+2

I've found gogriz to be quite bland, particularly the home page which looks more like the Berkeley Pit - a huge hole with not much of interest in the middle. In the past I've also found some of their links to be less than obvious. Here's to a better effort...

Could the archived schedule/stats be downloaded and put on this site? If it exists on GoGriz, I can't find it. We can't give up access to that historical information.

Have you found any leads as to why the back button is not working?

I thought it was just my computer. Glad to know it's not, but I too would like to have the back button working again.
