Montana/Wyoming BB All Star game

I was at the game last night in Sheridan Wyoming like I have been for almost 20 years to watch the game. What I was most interested in watching was Jacob Hadley since he was the only one to sign a D-1 football scholarship on th team and he did so with the cats of Bozeman. The kid is a visually intimidating physical specimen. Reminded me of a Jason Goodman CMR/Wahshington TE who was the #1 rated TE in High School in 2003. But, the kid seemed totally bored. Dane Warp from Havre was the total stud for Montana. The 2 kids from Skyview and the 2 kids from Box Elder and the tallest kid from Choteau were the best last night! The only Wyoming kid that was as good as any Montana kid was the one from Worland.

Gatorade POY. Going to Black Hills State.

Hadley was a stud at the State A basketball tourney and I thought Warp underwhelmed there, despite some excellent offensive skills. Hadley probably was bored with the All Star Bball game as his bball career (in his mind) probably ended the night his team lost to a quality Dillon team. Hadley carried his team on his back from a very slow start and almost got them back into the game. I don't know him and have never seen him play football but was very impressed with his bball skills and competitive fire in the State tourney. He will have a good Bobcat football career. Warp will join a very good Carroll bball team next year. They won two games at national tourney to make the national "elite 8" of NAIA. He'll be asked to defend and rebound and probably not be looked at as a primary scorer. Defending and rebounding appear two areas he needs to improve on. Good luck to them both in their college careers!

Cranium - So sad for you that you didn't see Jacob Hadley play basketball during the season to see his style of play. He is a TEAM guy. Ya, he carried his team on his back during the State Tourney and was absolutely amazing. All Star games are "All-About Me games" which is not his style. Not sure but he probably lead the team in assists at the game in Sheridan. Him and the Skyview boys really played well together and TEAM is obvious to all 3 of them. He will do great things.
