Montana @ Weber State Game Thread

This game was simply UGLY. Stupid call on GJ on the clap, WTF, stopped a good drive. Two ejections, and 6 turnovers. Can't hold on to the ball you ain't gonna win. My fear of a slow start from the bye was well, DAMN SLOW.
Flush it, Next week is the season.

This week was the season. Now we just get to piss in everyone else’s Cheerios for the rest of the season. Case Cookus must be licking his chops at the Semore led defense...

What we learned today is weber has better players at most positions and is a better coached team in all three phases of the game. Montana was ranked I believe 7 or 8 in the conference and today we saw why. It’s not a diss just the reality of it....

Sad to read griz fans turning on our guys so forcefully. We had a bad day and didn't hang onto the ball but we just came off a winning run. We showed in the 2nd half that the 1st was not who we are. Stitt is a great coach, more importantly he is our coach! I hope he is here well into the future. We have only scratched the surface on how good we can be offensively. Just wait until GJ is a JR and SR

What game did you watch? Stitt et al got straight beaten down by the Weebs staff. Yeah they showed heart, but that is about the only positive you can take from this nightmare. Gresch May yet have a new HC before his sophomore year.

I get so sick of this statement, Its not his fault that our guys could not hold on to the ball.
Whose fault is it they came out flat and unprepared?

I watched a game where TOs were the difference. You can't put the blame for those squarely on the coaches. GJ is young and will be a beast. As the group gets older and learns to limit these mistakes we will win these games.

Whose fault is it this team can't tackle for sh1t?
Whose fault is it that our defensive scheme has no answer for backs catching passes out of the backfield because no one is covering them?
It may not all be the coaches fault but they aren't exactly free from culpability

can i get a summary of the turnovers. I didn't get to watch.
Three interceptions and two fumbles

Wow, so 5 turnovers. Do you think we were as good as them and could have beat them on the road had we not turned the ball over?
Yes, I actually do...

Well two of those turnovers, one interception and one fumble, we were headed into the end zone quite possibly so yes, I think we could have won without so many turnovers. Even with how horrible we looked in the first half.

I agree. Griz would have won handily. But we did have the turnovers and targetings.

I would say the entire team
Yeah...no. In 40 years around the game I have NEVER heard anyone blame the players for being unprepared. The very job of coaching is to prepare the team to play.
