Montana WBB Win Big over EWU

The Eagles are young & green... but Montana's win tonight gives a hint of what it can do when the perimeter players stretch the floor. Oh and... I think this is the 2nd or third half court shot by McKenzie Johnston over her career.

McKenzie’s shot is remarkable. She’s hammered and still strong enough to fight through it while in the air to get the shot up and on line from 45 feet.

Amazing.

All in all, a damn great day to be a GRIZZLY!

To be fair, she didn't really get hammered on that shot. It looks like they ewu defender gets all ball but, I agree, she does have remarkable strength to still get that ball up and get the shot off!

Very good opportunity for the players to take more chances, prove to themselves individual/team capabilities, play ball on levels where a tighter opponent defense may not have allowed. Pickens a frosh taking those perimeter shots show cases a lot of potential. Goligoski, played to a level she is quite capable of, and was normal for her HS years, an explosive shooter, tenacious defender. Like the way they defended the 3 shots, assists, ran the floor up tempo, bounds, ...Yes!, go LGriz! EWU got away with plenty of fouls!

This year's record without any devastating injuries vs. previous years with them. Any correlation or just a coinkydink?
