That was the Tech women who beat up on the cats. They also only lost to Eastern by single digits after leading most of the game I believe.

I think their are a few players that need some extended minutes and this will be a good time to do it before BSC play begins. I would rather see these types of games at the start of non conference play though.

True, but playing good teams, even those with better talent will improve the quality of our individual players and overall team, not to mention that our game attendance/revenue will suffer. Not a gem of scheduling.

Losing will hurt attendance more. I think you have to have a couple of cupcake games to go along with the early season tougher ones that the Griz had. If thses guys get thumped every night and lose their confidence it takes a lot to get it back and BSC play isn't the place to do it. The young guys need touches in games that their minutes are meaningful, not just mop up.

I would be surprised if the Griz blow out Tech. Tech is coached by the next great Montana coach in Nate Larson. He will turn Tech into a power in three years then springboard from there much like Kelvin Sampson did years ago. Tinks should bring him on board as soon as he can before he gets scooped up by a major D-1. Brilliant strategist and a great recruiter. I would not want to be a coach in the Frontier agaist this guy.

Nate Larson won't even coach his team to a top 3 finish in the Frontier this year. :loser: The only good thing about this game is that a local from Tech (Shea Bradshaw) gets to play a game close to home.
