This game is going to be an "L" for you all this year, you will have hardly any fans amongst the 13,000, it is our homecoming, oh, and by the way we have more talent than you do. We are going to punish you and it's about damn time. Don't get me wrong, I have tons of respect for the Griz and the program you have built up there, but this is ISU's year, and you will submit in October. We have THE best D-line in I-AA, and Isaac Mitchell will punish, so be ready for your trip to the woodshed!

p.s. come on over to bengalnation.net and let the talk begin, I know you all might be half as excited as we are for the season to start... Know this, ISU is back, and the BSC knows it...

More talent and the best D-line, huh? I surely hope you're at the game so you can properly assess talent and D-lines.

I heard that Jared Allen got booted for beating up a girl. So without him I don't think that you do have the best d-line in I-AA....not that you did in the first place.....By the way GO CATS!!!!!!

Congrats 8poky8,

You guys will have your best team in years for 2003. And we're also looking for some tough competition from Bozoman this year too. It's a shame that your team peaks this year, because this year the Griz will be awesome. Probably the best team since the 95-96 seasons. We will be improved in every area on a team that was 11-3 last year. And all three losses came when many starters had been lost with injury.

Yep, you're a couple years too early with your good team to take the Sky, it's a shame, because we are going to be National Championship caliber this year. But we look for you to try and get by that first round for a change as our second seed team from the Sky. We are embarrased year after year by our second seeds getting blown out in the first round. How about showing up for that game will ya!

Improved in EVERY area???? The griz will be good...very good, but did you see the same secondary that I saw during spring ball? It was unmistakably dreadful. Hopefully for you, that decoite does well enough in summer school to play in the fall, because if he's going you have very very little experience in the secondary in the "pass happy" big sky.

Smack topic. Where's the Webmaster?
I'm assuming that the Jared Allen info is B.S., WBOMeat, considerig that the DeCoite info is B.S.

Our Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator are both Secondary men. That's their forte. Hauck and Hammerschmidt have coached some of the top Pac 10 secondaries for years. They will have exactly the right pieces in place before the season starts. Look for a Pac 10 transfer at corner soon.

I don't know how ISU is going to be so high and mighty when they lose their first BSC game at Sacramento State. Sac has a couple of scores to settle with ISU and MSU. The real battle for the conference, believe it or not, will be between the Hornets and the Griz.

By the way, Jared Allen was held out of spring practice because he got in a little trouble with the law, but he didn't hit a girl or anything. You can read about it here. As far as I've heard, he'll be back. I watched him in our game last year and thought he was over-rated. Maybe he was better in others.

first and foremost why do you act like 13,000 fans is intimidating or even a lot. The griz will average 10,000+ more than what you might get on your home coming. Secondly there will be plenty griz faithful who make the trip for the game, you can't be serious if you don't think that us UM fans will do everything in our power to buy out that whole stadium. You will not "punish" the Griz because that simply does not happen. Name the last time we got blown out. And don't be quick to be spouting off that you have the best D-line in 1-AA um we were missing two All America candidates last season and still had one of the top D-Lines in the country. You guys may have had more talent than us last year too. A lot of teams did, but the UM program is so well coached year in and year out and the players and fans have so much pride and dedication here that it has made up for lack of talent on more than one occasion. Oh, bad news: we are much more "talented" across the board this year than last so I wouldn't be so sure about that either. I am looking forward to the game with ISU it should be a good one. You guys are a real up-and-coming team. Must feel good to actually have something to look forward too this year now that your team has finally got some potential. Thanks for posting here and for the invite to bengalnation.net I will see you there. Good luck in all your games this year but one. :D

You know, my grandpa had a barn shaped just like the Spud Dome. Kind of had the same smell in it too.

That is when you know you are the top dog. We are talking about playoffs, national championship games and whether being ranked 3rd in the nation to start the season is too high or too low. Folks at ISU and elsewhere are planning their whole season around the Griz.

It is good to be king!!!

griz4life, this does not belong in Smack Talk, more like Random isht.

this is outright smack talk and belongs in the smack talk forum unless he can add more substance as to why Bengals will win instead of the "you will lose" routine. We all know somebody is going to lose. Especially since the Griz have a better D-Line and a much improved offense this year.

But, I realize their feelings may come from games that were close, but that was back in the Joe Glenn and John Edwards era. Now we are in the Hauck and Oches (or Disney) era. A coach who isn't afraid to pile it on and QB's that are much better passers. Game will be close, and there will be more Griz fans than the Bengal fan thinks there will be, but in the end, Griz will win.

Jimus, afraid not! How about this, I still get to shop in Missoula, but I don't have to live there and deal with all of the people!!!

I doubt anyone in the Big Sky has TWO D-linemen that will be playing on Sunday like ISU does, Mark Weivoda and Jared Allen, fight that all you want but it is just the bottom line. Our whole season doesn't revolve around the Griz, I just think that we have as good a shot as any to win it ALL... If our QB play is even steady, heads will roll. On to the Montana topic, I would so much rather live in ID than MT, it is not even close. I can't wait for our game with you, it will be a blast. With all respect to Montana, their program is top notch, and your fans are great, probably among the best... Trust me on this, though, there is the beginning of something special at ISU, just watch. By the way, how do you plan on matching our speed, cuz let's be honest, we have the fastest skill players in the league. I sure hope that Hauck DID coach the secondary at UW cuz their secondary has looked like the Sisters of The Poor for the last couple of years... Cody Pickett(Idaho's Own), and Reggie Williams, played with the Bad News Bears, let's be honest... ISU BSC CHAMPS, Outright this year  !!!
