A couple of changes from the App game depth chart:

- Mitch Saylor has replaced Marq Rogers at the X WR position. This reflects Mitch's return from off season injury and the desire to redshirt Marq Rogers, despite his talent.

- Jamaal Jones has moved ahead of Taylor Walcott at the X WR position. Don't know if this is due to Taylor's shoulder injury or due to Jamaal's great first game.

- Clay Pierson has moved from the one at TE to being listed as the OR starter with Jordan Harper. This is a result of Clay's broken hand. He will only play in an emergency situation this weekend.

- Jamaal Anderson has replaced JR Nelson as the two at Boundary CB position. JR is no longer listed on the depth chart. Does anybody know what happened here (injury, etc.)?

- Justin Whitted and Zach Gratton have replaced Steven Rominger as the backups at FS. Steven is no longer listed on the depth chart. Does anybody know what happened here (injury, etc.)?

It looked like JR got dinged up vs. App. Not sure of the injury though or whether that is still an issue.

JR hurt his ankle, he was flagged for holding on a play and limped off the field. Got it taped up and tried to come back, was obviously affected by it and didn't play again. I'd assume since he came back it's probably a sprain but not a high ankle sprain (hopefully not at least).

JR was in a boot, It's too bad he won't be available, the secondary will certainly be tested.

Good stuff thanks 96griz for breaking it down for us.

Is there a link for the Griz depth chart? I couldn't find the actual updated depth chart anywhere... And anybody know about Rominger? Brint?

Dammit. I REALLY enjoyed watching this kid play against ASU.

The depth chart is posted in the weekly game release notes typically put out on Tuesday or Wednesday at gogriz.com.

Here are this week's notes:
http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools...o_pdf/2013-14/release/release_20130912aaa.pdf

Beware, this link will likely be re-used by the athletic department. For example, if you click on this link on Sunday it will probably take you to the game results instead of the game notes. I hate how they do this. If you don't save something when it comes out then you can't get it later.

I agree, AZGrizFan. I thought JR was extremely athletic on his HS football team, I assume that will translate at this level. The coaches have been high on him. I don't think the Griz missed on this kid.

Kendrick van Ackeren is 3rd string. Is he injured or did he get beat out?
Beat out. Lebsock and Owen both played more than KVA against App

How could this be possible?????

KVA went from the pageantry of the FBS to the peasantry of the FCS, and is now third string!!!!

Must be a conspiracy man.
