hey everyone. I just found out that Montanas Lacrosse team beat the snot out of the USC trojans. Now for some reason i would think you guys would be going nuts over this, is lacrosse really that unknown? Your program is amazing and is playing huge schools and winning, why dont you guys get hyped up about it?

1. It's a club sport. Not a varsity sport.

2. The UM team is 100 percent out of state kids who weren't good enough to get scholarships back East.

3. No one cares about lacrosse in MT.

4. This has nothing to do with football.

Which is a shame, because its a great sport to watch - similar to hockey, which is gaining a larger and larger following here in Missoula.

I'd take curling over Lacrosse. Just saying, we had a curling rink in Scobey. Good times. :drinking:

1. Club sport? Right. Not a varsity sport? Right. That's why these kids each pay $1,500 for the opportunity to play the sport at UM.

2. They were the Division 2 nat'l champs in 2007 before moving up, so they probably aren't the rejects you make them out to be. Two were among the top players in the Washington State ranks. Not back east.

3. A limited few know about Griz lacrosse, but those that do dig it.
The Pacific NW College Lacrosse League in early May will see a growing fan base with the Oregon Ducks and the UW Huskies participating at WGS.

4. Finally - you're correct. Something else that separates them from football is that they moved on to better competition. Give'em a try. You might like it.
