Am I reading this right? The Missoulian wants me to pay $12 a month to be able to get online access?

I did not mind the annual charge deal they had before (do not even remember the cost but it was under $50 for the year). I guess I will just wait until the Griz stories show up in the Billings paper or on Go Griz.com.

many times i just cut/copy/paste the headline into a search window and pick the same story up elsewhere. Also, our local news stations carry many same or similar articles, for free. ( KGVO, KECI, KPAX, etc.) Most other on-line newspapers will also cut you off after a certain amount of free "visits"......

I was going to drop them before the huge price increase. Their new format is terrible and few articles are accessible. They don't even bother to update and most of the site is clogged up with old articles days or weeks old. Pay more money for a worse product?

Turn on private browsing.

Private / incognito browsing works everytime.

I am not very tech savvy.....how/where do I do that on my computer ?

From any browser you can right click a link and choose to

"open"
Or "open in a new window"
Or "open in private / open in incognito"

So right click this link: www.missoulian.com

And select the private or incognito option. It'll open a new window that will allow you to look at articles. The private browsing doesn't use tracking cookies and so the site is unaware of how many articles you may or may not have looked at.

Thanks!

Another thing you can do is go to your settings and clear your browser history for the past weeks . This also clears what ever weird stuff you have been googling. Then you can read the articles again. I agree the new format is terrible.
