Sad/Angry/Upset as we all are today, this game was a great showcase for the FCS, and validation for ESPN that they took a risk showing it. As the announcers raved about the game, they dropped a pearl: ESPN is considering sending their Game Day crew to an FCS site this year.

Had we won, that would have been us, no question. Now? Probably not.

I wouldn’t say probably not. If Cat Griz has both teams coming in at like what 10-1 it’s likely still for a top seed and maybe for the conference title. They want to come to Missoula.

There is no way in hell they’re sending game day to Missoula on rivalry weekend.

if it ends up anywhere I’d say I’d t would be at James Madison Sam Houston or one of the Dakota schools.

They said Big Sky country which I implied to mean the state of Montana, but the cats and Griz don’t really have any attractive home games until cat Griz. Maybe they meant the Big Sky conference but their not gonna get a good environment that’s not anywhere but Montana.

Right. I mean Missoula is due to have that show. Cat Griz would be an amazing environment. But like mentioned before too many FBS big time games. Idk.

Now that I look, you’re right. I forgot that those are the first weekend of the playoffs. Good catch. There’s no doubt in my mind Missoula would be one of the best fcs locations to hold it. That being said, I’ll believe it when I see it.

Doesn't Root have the broadcast rights to The Brawl? Meaning that that game wouldn't be an option for Gameday? Or since ESPN+ is streaming Root games this year, would that change things or help negotiations?

They can go to Missoula for Gameday and not broadcast it, as I believe they've done in the past for several of the FCS matchups.

I moved past this needless mental anguish a decade ago. Unless it's for all the marbles, I'm over it before the credits roll. There is much on which to focus one's energy in life, beyond that of college football.

Same here, CFalls….what pisses me off more than losing is eGriz fans’ response to a little adversity. I think i may have to just stay off eGriz during games….and not read the game thread.

Personally I think they may come to any Griz game being hosted in Washington Grizzly stadium, it does not matter - they will talk about the Big Boys primarily anyway so there is that!

I agree. Two FCS heavy weights going at it and it lived up to its billing. Griz had their had their chances to take this one but the O could not find the consistency in the second half to get it done. Agree about GameDay. Great to have but they never give enough credit to the FCS during the broadcast to make it impactful. Would be cool seeing the stage in the Oval showing the Grizzly Bear for 3 hours though!
