Milwaukee Game

This GRIZ team either has it or they don't. Not much in between so far this season. I'm very disappointed in the play this game.

Spot on mt. I'm just perplexed. What happened today? Lady Griz were down 6 at half down in Portland and came roaring back in second half to win 69-55. Need some spark from the fellas!

I'm so upset about this game. Right now it is best if I resist posting more. Most my thoughts from this game are very negative.

IMO this game was a reflection of a young team still trying to work through adversity. Similar to the CSU game, Milwaukee came out on fire & couldn't miss while there was a lid on the basket for UM. Milwaukee hit tough shots but there were more defensive letdowns than normal for UM.

It's pretty clear how much Breunig is needed & his foul trouble made it really tough. It's too bad he was given his 5th foul on a very ticky tack call especially when there were 2 other UM guys in that play that they could've given the foul to. Regardless of whether or not the refs make good or bad calls, Bruenig & Dunn can't put themselves in positions to give refs a chance to make those calls. It's too important they stay on the floor. It would have helped a lot to have Weisner in there...for rebounds , D & senior leadership.

Even without Breunig & Weisner in the second half they made a pretty good run for little while.

This team & the coaching staff are pretty resilient. The loss sucks but I'm felling pretty good about their chances in the BSC.

Listless, uninspired effort from whole squad pretty much

Fatigue from the Davidson game? The road has been tough, the loss to Cal showed some potential.

Up next South Dakota, watched them earlier versus unlv, they played them well, lost by a few to creighton in Omaha last week

They will be a tough matchup next Sunday here!

Go Griz

Besides having their toughest game of the year in middle of final's week, they probably had to take an early flight out of Missoula. Finals week alone a was always enough to make most of us zombies. I'm surprised they made the game that close.

I really thought that this was one road game the Griz would win easily. I was wrong...

I'll be stewing over this game all season. Exactly why I did not post more after the game.

Admitting I"m a Kemp fan, I think playing Kemp more would keep Breunig from getting as many fouls. Kemp would help clog the middle and challenge, and Breunig wouldn't feel that he had to as much. Obviously, Kemp has gone from starting to playing single digits. Kemp has good hands around the bucket and can score off the dish. Seemed a bit heavy in early games, and perhaps wasn't able to get up and down the court as fast as he should have. Think he still has a great attitude, even with diminished playing time.

Ya I think Kemp can be used more. He does look about 20 pounds heavier than last year. Makes you wonder how he eats to keep that weight even with all the working out they do.

Being a little thin underneath and losing Breuning early to foul trouble did not help!

We have some great athletes but still suffer the lack of size and depth at this juncture to compete.

Still believe we have as good a'shot at conference/post season as anyone.
