Check out the email on page 4 from Jim Sowell (Texas Tech Board of Regents) dated January 9, 2009.
Looks like the termination has been in the works for almost a year.

I really think they shot themselves in the foot here. Can you see the arrogance of these administrators? They claimed that Weis was "fireproof," and he wasn't. And whose name was redacted? I find it weird that ONE name was redacted out of the whole chain.

These emails were insane.. the TT administration has no idea how good they had it under Leach. I guarantee his success will not be replicated.
