BERLIN - Former Eastern Washington quarterback Erik Meyer threw for three touchdowns Sunday to lead the Cologne Centurions to a 24-10 win over the Berlin Thunder in NFL Europa.
Meyer completed 9-of-12 passes for 125 yards and was supported by a strong running game led by Derrick Ross, who rushed 25 times for 143 yards.
The Centurions avenged a 31-28 loss to the Thunder eight days ago when they blew a 21-point lead. The team moved to 3-2 and a share of the league lead, while Berlin fell to 2-3.
Former Montana State quarterback Travis Lulay completed 9-of-22 passes for 80 yards and ran 9 yards for a touchdown with just over three minutes remaining, according to the NFL Europa Web site.
