It's interesting to see some similar patterns with this year's team and last year's team.

08-09 team: started pretty hot, winning a tourney in Canada and then opening out the gate 4-1, then going up and down, lose 3 in a row, win 4 in a row, lose 3 in a row, win 3 in a row.

09-10 team: started pretty hot, beating Oregon on the road and having the refs hand them a loss against UW. Up and down earlier going L/W/L/W/L/W/L. Then proceed to win 4 in a row, but then drop the next 2 after that.

----------

08-09 team: struggled with conference play early on the road

09-10 team: ditto

----------

08-09 team: Started a long string of conference wins on 1/21/09 (7 in a row, eventually finished 8-2 down the home stretch)

09-10 team: Started a string of conference wins on 1/28/10 (4 in a row currently)

--------

Early Feb 2009: Griz were 13-9 overall and 7-3 in conference
Early Feb 2010: Griz are 17-7 overall and 8-4 in conference

There is really no comparison between the two teams if you really take a look at them. Last years team had zero leadership, no toughness, etc. This years team would beat last years by 30...easy.

Dont let stats cloud reality here Re/Max :thumb:

So, what you're saying is; Wait and see if the other shoe drops? I am really hoping that does not happen this year.

I'm not sure it matters so much who starts. Banny has definitely earned a lot more playing time. He shouldn't be playing just a few minutes a game like he was. His energy might be more needed at those inevitable times when the Griz start to let down a bit.

Banny gives us the Criswell factor, toughness, energy, and fearlessness that this team feeds on...

Jack/Selvig are great 6th guys-both bring a lot to the table.

This weekend road trip will tell us what we have down the stretch, last weekends best basketball for a long, long time, consistant, tough and high flying..
