Men must run the table now.

To have a chance to host the tourney. NAU is 8-0, there is a possibility they could lose two of the last 6 games, but 3? Don't think so, they are too good.

So the men need to run the table and hope that NAU loses a game before they get to Missoula.

Doesn't look good but there is still hope.

NAU is a paper tiger. They will have 4 losses in conference - I'll call it right now and take bets on it. I've seen them play and they do not have the depth or talent to beat strong road opponents. Oh, and WKU will beat them by 20.

I'm more worried about MSU at this point.

I think the Griz can still afford to lose one more road game, but nothing more than that.

I could see NAU losing to EWU, UM, MSU, and Sac down the stretch. Right now I could see 3 or even 4 losses win the Big Sky.

So they'll 2-4 from here on? Whew, good to know. I was starting to worry.

With 4 out of 6 games remaining on the road against the best teams in the conference, yes I really think they will be 2-4 from here on out. Shoot, they may even drop one of the home games next weekend if they lose some confidence against EWU tomorrow night.

Look at this schedule to close the season and tell me how you see them winning one of these games:

Feb 16 @ MSU
Feb 18 @ WKU
Feb 25 @ Sac
Feb 27 @ UM

NAU only beat PSU with a last-second shot last night, so its not like they're making any statements. Their average margin of victory in the BSC is 5 points. And they've arguably played the easiest schedule of any BSC team up to this point.

So if you'd please stop with the attitude Ronbo and make a reasonable argument (against the Griz I might add - which you seem to like to do), I would appreciate it.

Sorry Gym Rat second post was an attempt at nervous humor. I really think we can win out in Conference. I just hope it's not too little to late.

You think we could lose to MSU at home? I thought we dominated them more than any other team this year.

Apology accepted. I'm still a little tense from the game last night. :thumb:

I think we'll beat MSU at home, but them and SAC are the two best teams in the conference after the Griz, imo. Since SAC is pretty much toast for hosting the tourney at this point, MSU would be my next worry. NAU after that, but they are going to have to earn it with the road trip that they have remaining.

I agree MGR, I think NAU will win 3 out of 6 max. Losing to Weber hurts though, we always struggle down there...

Figure the Griz win 5 of next 6 to get to 11-3, Cats win 4 of 6 to get to 10-4 and NAU also at 10-4, Griz host...Need to win Saturday and make a statement again against the Cats, figure win at PSU, potential problem at EWU and then win last 2 home games and we're there... :thumb:
