I see he got 1 carry and promptly fumbled the ball, he recovered it, but Dalton Sneed stood there jaw agape shaking his head in disgust. Eastwood is done for. He is not a FCS level RB.
Perhaps, not as easy to just change the position at the college level though as most think it is. I am certain unless there are some major injuries and attrition Eastwood will not be carrying the ball.
Agreed, but maybe easier than getting playing time at RB at this point. Eastwood is a good kid and helped team last year and a good athlete. May be a easier transition to WR for him, but with the WR group that aint happening.
Eastwood 4.0 YPC average with fumble issues compared to Knight at 5.2 and FR Ostmo at 4.5 and RS FR Turner at 9.2 RB touches are going to really tough for Eastwood going forward. Griz have several players transition to different positions past and present. I would like to see Eastwood playing and being a asset than warming the bench or transferring.
Ostmo and Turner are punishing runners very physical. Paired with Knight future competitors are in for a beatdown. FCS have several LBS and Safeties in the 5’10”-6’2” and 190-220 LBS range they may have speed, but won’t hold up to punishing RBs.
