There's only a couple people here who've anointed Brown as the heir apparent. I've been high on Britt since his signing...and I saw nothing on Saturday during warmups that would lead me to believe otherwise. Meanwhile, I've seen enough of Brown in live action to do me for quite some time....

I was high on brown….until one play changed my perspective a lot….when he missed the most wide open Sammy Akem I’ve ever seen…by a mile! I could have made that throw blindfolded. That was the strangest miss I’ve ever seen and it changed my view on the future for him unfortunately

...I love how players get trashed...unbelievable!....misses one receiver and he's done!...good grief! ....this is a joke right?

Cooper WSU or Sirmon Legacy Griz/former Huskie would both be better options - and both in portal

I said it changed my perspective. Over react much? Do you know which play in referring to? It was almost unbelievable had I not witnessed it.

Britt is the Future

Ah yes......the guy who a bunch have watched in practice....but who's never played. He's always the future.

When did "Brown" change his LAST name to "Britt"?

First I have been on the Cam bandwagon all year. Second I did not follow Brown while he was in highschool however followed Britt a little bit down here in Nevada. I think Griz got a great QB in Britt. At the end of the day I will cheer on whoever the coaches choose as QB1.
Nice try though Mouse.

Yeah, that was a bad one, among many other bad throws and reads. He made me realize very quickly why Humphrey was QB1

Depends on who Hauck feels we need. If, Martinez would xfr to Montana, I'd love his upside. Athletically, Sneed 2.0. If he'd cut down on costly turnovers at critical moments, he'd be terrific.

He would go 3/5 passing in the Spring Golden Shower Game and they would start building another statue on the shores of the shit pond.

Proposed Choach/Martinez Statue 2022

Funny....I literally walked past that monument a few weeks ago in Prague.
Place on my list to visit. I will tell my wife I want to explore the culture and museums. Primarily, I want to check out the beer.

I lost confidence in Brown when he choked at the end of the SacSt game and took two sacks and the loss of the game rather than try to give a receiver a chance to make a play or even to throw it out of bounds for another play. He had just thrown an int and was gun-shy to throw into any coverage.

We talk of his physical skills, but a quick release is not one of them. He's a third year freshman; maturity can be expected if he is able to stay in the program. He will have a fight on his hands next spring.

He had many good moments throughout his starts along with many bad. He did have growth, and I think we should judge him when we see him running this offense as it is designed, meaning a healthy running game. He has talent, he got much needed experience, now it's on him to grow in the offseason. As any head coach would like we will have a battle going into the offseason. Britt and possibly transfers will continue to elevate the position. If Grossman catches that ball in Cheney, he is a legend and nothing could be taken away from the kid. 1 loss with 5th and 6th string running backs, banged up O-line and defense, is nothing to scoff at. We were blessed with a easier schedule this year, but next years has a tough second half of the season.

Martinez will go to Kansas State. His GF is there and they need a QB since Thompson is done. If a QB is brought in, no doubt it has to be WSU or UW as said above.

Without a doubt the best beer.

...Humphrey is a good manager but seems to me he has made some really bad reads also..I'm not writing
off Brown ...I think he's got the tools.... I just think its a confidence thing that we all been though once or twice
in our lives BUT if Hauck n Co. wants to bring some more competition in ....bring it on!

And before anyone points out that brown was a “freshman” I’ll point out that he was in fact in his third season with the team. Plenty of time to have developed. Additionally, it didn’t look like he got much better as he gained experience.

He only played 4 full games and passed for over a 1000 yards. It was his first year playing in college football games. Practicing, is not the same as live action. He hadn't played an opponent in years, which were high-school opponents. We are in good hands with Brown. Most QBs don't really shine till JR or SR year, especially at this level. We are in good shape.
