Once he fumbled this past game, Bobby put him on the bench. I wonder if he sits him for a period of time against' PSU? It has always been a punishment of Bobby's in the past to help these RB's hang on to the ball...

No... Knight sat the rest of the game, Bobby's not going to carry that punishment through next week, especially with his best running back.

Funny post game presser moment....media asked about Ostmo and his ability to get those tough yards at end....Bobby says “well there’s a reason he was in there” and shot a funny look over at Knight who was with him in the presser....Knight just smirked sheepishly....and then Bobby says “I think we can all forgive this guy to my right”. It was funny and drew some good laughs from all in room.

That told me he more than likely served his punishment.

That was funny and good info. Thx. I assumed that Knight would be quickly forgiven, but I assume he is being reminded in practice and otherwise this week. On his first run of the game, I had noticed that he was carrying with two hands, even before he was going to get hit. I had thought at how ball security must be very important in practice and to the team this year.

I didn't see how the fumble occurred in the game, as my view was blocked.

Saw it perfectly on TV. Ha.

Guy stuck his hand in at just the right spot and pulled Knight's hand off the football. And I also noticed he was running with extra ball security earlier in the game (even on the long TD run when he thought he was about to get hit at the end he covered it up before running into the end zone. Ostmo as well was running with both hands on the ball most of the time....it's obvious they're focusing on it, but hey, shit happens some times. Can't imagine Bobby's going to sit our best RB (by far) on Saturday because of one mistake. He paid his dues the rest of that game. I think it's behind them now.

of all the running backs, Chuck Foreman? I thought old #44 for the Purple People Eaters was bigger than his listed as 6'2" and 210 lbs. Knight is 6'1 and 194#. How about a modern day player comparison? Anyone come to mind?
