while we're pounding our chests over potentially one of the best recruiting classes in the history of the school, new weber coach randy rahe is proving to be no slouch on the recruiting trail either. so far he's nabbed: a 6'9" forward from lithuania via midland college in texas, rated the 49th best juco in the country; the #2 prep forward in the state of utah; and the utah 4a player of the year and m.v.p. of the state tournament, a 6'4" swing guard who most thought would wind up either at utah or b.y.u. this in addition to the numerous jaycee kids coming in to replace the mass defections that have taken place since cravens was fired. looks like the old montana-weber rivalry is set to be re-ignited, with both teams likely to draw a lot of national interest in the next several years.

oh, and one crumb that might have fallen off mslacat's plate: p.j. owsley, ex bozeman hawk, ex bobcat, has signed to play for hawaii, where he'll join riley luettgerod, the high-scoring jaycee kid from oregon that looked at us before getting lei-ed.
