Long shot Grad Transfer RB

Madre London from Michigan State is a grad transfer running back. He is a good kid and comes from St. Thomas Aquinas HS in Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.

I have no idea if our staff takes on kids from the Midwest, but he would be a fine addition to our RB corps. I think he is 6'2" and goes about 220. I don't know if Madre even has heard of us out here in the West, but maybe one of the staff members will read this and take a look.

Yeah i don’t see it unless someone on the staff has a connection to the kid

Agree no chance, but one thing Mamula tought us is how many connections are really out there. I would be willing to bet between ND and Nebraska somehow/someway Shann has a connection in this instance. I was talking with a frontier confrence bball coach this week and its crazy listening to him talk about how the chain links connect to contacting recruits as well as even coaching positions. His hiring alone, came via 4 guys at 3 different colleges in 3 different states at 2 different levels.

Yeah but this guy went to school at Michigan State and is from Florida. We do not traditionally have connections to that Spartan staff or any connection to Florida or did we originally recruit the guy. Now maybe someone like Pease or Baer might but yeah I have talked to Green about this before. There has to be a connection with the college or former high school staff. OR a prior relationship with the kid for them to get on the FBS transfer. So it is not like anytime a FBS transfer becomes available we can just go get him. Does not work like that.

This is more likely than the MSU 20 year plan and that is never going to happen! You stand a better chance of getting ocean front property in Arizona!!! Go Griz!

Just a couple of years ago (in my dreams) I had to send VCR tapes of kids out. Almost every year, there would be a coaching staff call the head coach asking for specifics on a different kid they noticed in the tape. Send the information directly to the staff here. Nothing would be better than establishing a pipeline into the Florida recruiting base, although I prefer the Georgia trained kids.

I love how this thread has zero to do with the Cats, but yet you bring them up.

Let. It. Go.

It also has zero to do with the Griz or FCS. At least it's not about the culture of sexism. There's that.

I understand what youre saying. Not considering this kid at all, in general, just like you mentioned there could be one with Pease or Baer connections can run far deeper than some think at times.

While it would obviously be great to upgrade any position regardless of current talent it seems that with a limited amount of schollies to try to fill a few presumed needs it would be bet to focus on secondary and maybe O-line.
